Takayama is one of the best place I have ever visited in Japan. Nestled in the mountains, it is known as Little Kyoto in the mountains. There are many minshuku and ryokan in the town and they serve delicious kaiseki style meals. The town is also very different from others in that the local government likes preserving it the way it is. So you will not see any Starbucks, McDonalds or 7/11 here. What you will find is small town charm and hospitality and lots of delicious local foods. These include Hida beef, and Hoba Miso.

Mt Fuji climb
Mt Fuji climb. Me and my friends scale Japan's most famous mountain on July 26th. It was a nice clear day. We saw really nice unkai and goraiko. We stayed at a hut at 3250m called Gansomuro. It was 9000 yen for two meals and a sleeping space.
We continued our climb around midnight and got to the summit for the sunrise (at 450am)

HOKKAIDO 北海道 JAPAN
Went to Hokkaido. Visited Sapporo, Otaru, Asahikawa, and Furano. Farm Tomita in Furano was very nice.
SOUTH KOREA
Went to South Korea, and ate a lot there too. Shopped in Myeongdong, and Insadong a lot. Tried silkworm for the first time. It wasnt very nice tasting. :)
TOKYO
I was in Tokyo for a bit, and went to a maid cafe with friends. Also took in the sights and ate a lot.
OTARU 小樽
Otaru is a really nice little town in western Hokkaido, along the coast. We went there for great seafood and nice sceneries.
